So in my mind of petty quibbles, this should be the deadliest attack on US law enforcement since the Oklahoma bombing, which is arguably more important since that makes it the "deadliest attack in 21 years".
This is either continued victimisation over 9/11 that America still hasn't gotten over, or media organisations are trying, possibly unconsciously, to link black extremists to the extremist ideologies responsible for 9/11.

*Sigh* My country does have almost a fetish for 9/11.

We also remember Pearl Harbor. People tend to remember when they are attacked.

Apparently they were organized, so I guess we can rule out the "mad shooter" scenario...Hope they're not affiliated with a Black Power group, though. It would make things worse.

9/11 was the deadliest attack on America, and indeed American civilians, since Pearl Harbour.
It was the darkest and deadliest day, and incident, for US law enforcement, probably ever.

It was not, however, "an attack on law enforcement".

To be honest, given the sizes of the populations in question I don't really think it's that surprising that a few of them are stupid enough to try stuff like this and think it would further their cause.

Sad, this is what the rhetoric of blm gets us,. Violence. Keep yelling "fuck the police, andkill the cops", the group gets more mainstream support, and people act on those words. Even if it was not done by blm, well done blm and their supporters.

Now let's see how jumpy cops get.

My thoughts and prayers go to the victims and their families.
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Bolded is rather my point. Law enforcement members were "attacked" in the sense that they died during an attack. They were not targeted as law enforcement, they were where the attack was carried out and died admirably doing their job.

Of course, had the nearby precincts to World Trade Centre Plaza been struck by synchronised suicide bombers to delay response, there would be no question that there was an "attack on law enforcement".

Not the point. It's the rhetoric I am bitching about.

I do believe blm is a terrorist group, but am not blaming them for the shooting. No evidence as to who did it has been released. I am blaming them for creating an environment that encourages violence, saying this was inevitable.

Accelerated or contributed, maybe, but it wasn't rhetoric on either side that created that environment.

How else should I call an American Racial supremacist group who endorses the killing (of cops and not civilians I will concede) and actually just witnessed one during one of it's rallies?

The Dallas chapter of BLM does not endorse violence or retribution against police.
