Unless they show affiliation to some organization, it's a lone-wolf type case. Terrorism doesn't have to be coming from a particular group, and these seem to be too far detached to lump them in with anything other than the group that was protesting at the time. Which is also grabbing at straws at this point.

As far as I know, no. This is my personal opinion on the matter. As far as I've been informed, they haven't claimed affiliation, so no group to look for in particular. As far as motives, also unknown, but the context leans towards politically and racially motivated terrorism with regards to what's recently happened. Unless a motive is given or affiliation claimed, it seems like a lone-wolf attack.

Either way, the point is that they can and likely will try for an appeal, get shot down, and waste taxpayer money on a costly process because they've been sentenced to death.

The police are politically at fault for starting this entire escapade, as a whole. I am not pointing fingers at any particular police personnel, but the institution. Politics exist on a parallel dimension distinct from the legal and the moral.

They were shot by snipers who were not part of the crowd, if you'd read the news you'd know this.
