Your poll is, um... Interesting. Rather narrow minded, but interesting. Needless to say, I will not be pidgeonholed by your perception of what I believe, and thus, will not answer it.

After briefly researching the idea of Steiner education, I think that it might- might- be a good idea in theory, but practice? What would this cost? How would unions take this? Where is the money for the retrofitting going to come from? How would the Feds regulate this? How could this be regulated?

Overall, in an idealistic sense it would work. Practically, it probably can't.

And that analysis doesn't make me a shill of Big Pharma, thank you very much.

Why should the feds regulate this at all? Just make an immediate change before the unions can react. Then, by the time they react, they will have weed and thus be smart enough to realize the benefits of the new way of doing things.

It's not a fact. I don't think you know what fact means. It's a well tested theory, but it's not without flaws. If perfectly free markets were the ultimate only way to prosperity, the Nordic countries wouldn't be so damn prosperous.

...weed does not fix the problem. The Feds will want to regulate it because the Feds want to regulate everything, as regulation is power. The unions will act in what they view as their best interest, and they will know immediately when it occurs. Doing this upsets the special relationship that exists between the Feds and the teacher's unions, and I can't imagine that either of them would be exactly pleased with that. They make far, far too much money off of it.
