How not? Once they settled here they are becoming natives. If you agree with Trump you are a racist, hope you are aware of this.

Does deportation kill people? No? Then it's not genocide.

He does says to deport all illegal Mexican immigrants and their children who were born here. This is de facto genocide. Also, removal of an etnich group from a territory.

Dude, there's no need to blow Trump's claims out of proportion. They can sink on their own merits.

Deporting illegal immigrants isen't ethnic cleansing. Removing all Hispanics would be ethnic cleansing. What he's suggesting is an extraordinarily strict stance on criminals: specifically those who're in the country without permission (Sans the kids who were born here: they would be US citizens) Its heartless, it's impractical, but its not genocide

That's........ not genocide at all. Do you even know the definition of genocide?
the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

That is from Dictionary.com. Deportations are deportations, not genocide.

Also, he has actually stated that if an illegal with a good track record and a family is here and is willing to pay taxes as well as other fines, we will allow them to be screened and give them amnesty.

Of course, there were numerous incident happened during deportations.

Some people die when they're vaccinated, which in many countries is compulsory. Is that also genocide?

Ah, I see. So by that logic if I decide my neighbor's house is better than mine and I just take a empty room and live there without his permission, what do you think will happen? He'd kick me out, even if I claimed that by living in his house I am a part of his family.

It might not be genocide, but it's still fucking awful. In the same way the Trail of Tears wasn't a genocide, but ranks up there in the category of state-ordered human atrocities.

Trump doesn't call for genocide.

No, he just calls for forced deportation based on ethnicity/nationality, treating civilians as valid military targets, banning people from entering the country based on ethnicity/nationality/religion, and forcing people to wear identifiers if they're a member of a certain religion.

Yes, deporting 14 million people would end up being a disaster (not that it's logistically possible), but it's not a genocide. To use genocide in such a manner is highly disrespectful.

We're discussing the ways in which Trump has beliefs analogous to Fascism and whether or not he's worse than Hillary. That's how it's related.

What say ye, NSG?

Well, I was expecting this. I'm skeptical of the dropping poll numbers, but if Trump manages to recover from his booboo of firing his campaign manager he may be able to use this to his advantage. Just please don't alienate one of our allies, otherwise I'll have to put you on the same level as the current president. Sadly, he probably will.

EDIT: Additionally, thank God that only less-than-intelligent people try to do this.

Hey, this is america! Frankly, I'm not fond of a British person getting involved in America's affairs, not after the revolutionary war and the war of 1812. I've got no love for Trump (I'm with her), but I think foreigners should leave American affairs to us.

*cringes*

Trump is not a fascist, nor are his ideas. You see, most people (especially the left) assert fascism to a mix of nativism, nationalism, xenophobia, and populism. Though, it is not. Fascism is totalitarianism with a mix of light socialism and extreme nationalism.

And I can assure that Trump is not that.

Trump can be considered a nativist, which alright in most cases; He is a nationalist, which is great; he is not a xenophobe but believes in strong borders and protecting the country's population from foreign criminals; and he most certainly is a populist, which is what we need.

If it is a poorly executed deportation it may become a genocide for instance the trail of tears.

Given that the Trail of Tears happened in the 1830's and not the 2010's, you'll excuse me if I don't assume that deportation would lead to genocide in the modern era.

True, they could be. I don't think anybody is claiming that illegals who have or later do commit felonies shouldn't be punished. But our legal system has the presumption of innocence, so you can't just assume an illegal picked at random is a violent criminal either. The crime we do know they are guilty of is enter the country illegally/ overstaying a legal visa, and the discussion needs to be based on the extent of the punishment that crime deserves and what we can effectively implement. Deportation is certainly one option, but its one of many we nerd to consider.

You're assuming the plan (if it even exists, which it almost assuredly doesn't given that it's Trump we're talking about) would involve marching anyone anywhere. Deportations aren't done that way nowadays.
