Private sales are no one business but the buyer and seller. My idea to mark the IDs of disqualified persons is primarily intended to remove the burden of proving one innocence and placing it back on the government, where it belongs. The fact that it also allows private sellers to see that a potential buyer is qualified is a pleasant side effect.

I live in Vermont at the moment and I can't wait to leave. The gun laws are great, but the obscene destitution in between the towns and the vacation homes is just painful. That and the cold. And have I mentioned how not having a police force or fire department sucks ass?
