It's mostly important because he won't have to take a 2 year break in his club career if he wins an Olympic medal. Which would hurt Spurs either directly or if we decide to sell as his value would be super low.

Son is undoubtedly the best player on the team and one of the best players in Tottenham right now, and his conditioning is of utmost priority.

Needs to up himself to get off the bench. He is the only decent option to back up the wide AM roles though at the moment.

Until either the N'Koudou saga is resolved or Levy and Poch give up and go for the also very quick Rafa Silva or Bofal.
Also Yedlin and Walker are hella pacey and are quite agile going forward.
