That's how my dog woke me up today. Then she jumped up on my bed and refused to get off my pillow. I know she was just trying to remind me to give her another breakfast but I pretended just for a moment that she cared about me.

My cat seems to have a Romeo. A neighborhood cat that comes to stare at her through our bedroom windows every morning. Earlier they were staring at each other, face to face through the window. It was adorable.

As the alpha, you're in control of the food supply. She was actually paying respect to you in typical clumsy canine fashion.

Even so, I'm sure Romeo will have to face many trials and tribulations before he is united with his lover Misty/Juliet. Maybe have a duel or two with a deranged relative of yours.

I'll have to break it to Catmeo. His Juliet was fixed and is a senior citizen. I know she doesn't look it, and love knows no age but Social Security for her is knocking on the door. Besides, my deranged family members don't fight. They just gesticulate madly.

Maybe Catmeo is also a senior citizen. Maybe this a budding romance between two older felines, and their happily ever after will be filled with walkers, old movies, and prune juice.

Did he have a message or gift for his true love? A hairball, perhaps?

Ok, I was wrong. It's not a Romeo. It's actually an older kitten, and a female. Doesn't look feral so it must belong to someone in the neighborhood. I can hear it calling. I wonder if it's just a little lost or has confused Misty with it's mommy.

Maybe, but this house is already dominated by Empress Misty, and Empress Misty is territorial, dominant and supreme leaderess of all she beholds as all heck. There's no room for another kitty baby here.

Cats have been known to appreciate each other's company, but cats have also been known not to appreciate each other's company at all. It is all very complicated.

Watch the moral people of this town trying to shot such love down.

Nothing else than her and us is allowed to live here for long. No bugs, and especially nothing that walks on four legs.

We used to babysit the in-laws' dog (Tippy, passed away 2 years ago). Misty trolled that poor dog to hell.
