Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Disregarding the incredibly stupid illogic and lack of sense that is included in this idea of fining parents for bringing their children out in public (because they WILL scream) explain to me one thing.

How the actual living fuck is this imbecilic melodramatic idiocy supposed to be enforced?

The government can't even enforce drinking laws.

"Help! Someone burned down my house!"

"Ma'am, your baby is screaming. Thats 1,000$."

"But...I'm in public because someone just burned down my house, and the child has first degree Burns."

"Tell it to the judge".

Where do you come up with these crazy ideas? Banning infants crying or screaming in public places? how absurd! I agree that we shouldn't have very young children in places like movie theaters. I was stuck on a train once with crying baby but I'm not going to go so far to say that we should ban them from trains.

This is a good question, but I fear you will find it a barren and frustrating avenue of inquiry. This thread is a good illustration of IM's approach to enforcement issues.

Ah, so it's going to be enforced through some inherently flawed method, which is OK because "we'll improve it" via unspecified means.

IM wants to be a nanny basically and thinks the government has so much time and resources to spend on such a trivial thing. The fact of the matter is, everyone was an infant at some point in their life and if they can't allow other persons to go through that phase then they should just be ashamed at the absurdity of being mad at a baby for screaming which, is their way of communication, because aha they can't talk.

Ban the sun, it causes cancer. Ban air, it contains bacteria. Ban water, you can drown in it. Ban bees, they can sting you. Ban space, it can kill you in so many different ways. Ban books, they carry dangerous thoughts. Ban children, they can grow up to murder you. Ban sound, it can make you think too hard.

Ban existence, because we'll all eventually die.

In kindergartens and other places designed for them-of course they should be allowed. In streets and squares, yes. In public transport, only in a soundproof baby section. And not at all in cinemas, theatres and the like.

1. Should parents bring screaming infants into public spaces where others are trying to have a good time?

2. If yes, why? If no... should the law do something about it?

Personally, I think there should be a fine imposed on those who don't care about others and bring screaming infants into movie theatres, restaurants, and public transit. Your liberty ends where you are inconveniencing, harming, and disturbing others.

What do you think?

Something has gone terribly, terribly wrong with the universe... because I'm agreeing with you on something, IM.

This idea is not enforceable in the slightest and would never actually be achievable, but I can't count the number of times I've thought something along the lines of "This is going on the 15th consecutive minute of screeching can you please just muzzle that thing?"

To solve the fatigue issues children should be forced to remain awake for the first three says of their life, so that they never have to complain about fatigue in comparison.

Make people who want children get a license.

This would

1)make sure they are not convicted paedophiles
2) make sure they had enough money to pay for it themselves
3) make sure that they could impose discipline, without either abusing their child or letting their child run riot.

Yes, because we can all agree on what makes a proper parent, and ought to have the government, who can't even balance their own budget, be in charge of yet another aspect of our lives that they've no goram right sticking their noses into.

How about 'no'.

Mixed feelings about this.

I mean, if a baby screams, that's their only way of communicating. They can't talk yet.

But I also know, the screaming is irritating as hell.

They should just take care of the infant in a bathroom or somewhere where no one will be disrupted.
