How the actual living fuck is this imbecilic melodramatic idiocy supposed to be enforced?
The government can't even enforce drinking laws.
"Help! Someone burned down my house!"
"Ma'am, your baby is screaming. Thats 1,000$."
"But...I'm in public because someone just burned down my house, and the child has first degree Burns."
"Tell it to the judge".

This is a good question, but I fear you will find it a barren and frustrating avenue of inquiry. This thread is a good illustration of IM's approach to enforcement issues.

Making your way in NSG today
Takes everything you've got.
Being a part in the discussions there,
Things certainly get hot.
See what IM posted today?
Sometimes you gotta go
Where opening posts can be pure insane
or quite often just inane.
You gotta see where people be
a purely argumentative bane.
You need to go where OPs, they get
quite insane.
(This post made in a purely teasing, and light-hearted manner, spurred entirely by the Cheers reference, and only including IM in there because this is the thread we're posting in. Not to be taken as name-calling to anyone, nor calling any player crazy - only certain words rhymed well with the quickly-cobbled attempt - and just making light of the fact that sometimes we get some odd topics, crazy-sounding solutions, weird ideas, and other assorted 'wtf' moments all over the forum - and that sometimes, one just has to sit back, and laugh at it all.)

Infected Mushroom wrote:Infants scream, they can't help it. But parents don't have to bring them outside to disrupt other people at restaurants, public transit, or movie theatres. That is just being irresponsible and selfish. There is no denying that the sound of screaming babies, especially over a sustained time period, is overbearingly obnoxious.
1. Should parents bring screaming infants into public spaces where others are trying to have a good time?
2. If yes, why? If no... should the law do something about it?
Personally, I think there should be a fine imposed on those who don't care about others and bring screaming infants into movie theatres, restaurants, and public transit. Your liberty ends where you are inconveniencing, harming, and disturbing others.
What do you think?

That would require common sense and proactive behavior. You ought take that trash idea elsewhere. Only absurd overreaching ones allowed. It might ruin the sale of my future "baby muzzler®™"
