Screaming Infants in Public Spaces? Allowed?

I have been at restaurants where a baby is crying nearby. It does not ruin the meal.

So if someone is singing karaoke outside my neighbor from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM it's allowed but when babies aren't allowed to cry everybody agrees to shut them up

I'm pretty sure noise complaint is at least an option for the former, depending on the extent of the noise, whereas for the latter, I don't think it is.

It is far more selfish for you to want to ban infants from public spaces because their crying irritates you. Your discomfort due to a crying child fifty feet away does not justify fining parents who are simply trying to raise their children.
