Well Heidi, you know me a bit. I'm not really right wing though annoyingly I keep geting lumped with them because I at least somewhat care about families and moral issues though I have all my life been pro women's rights, pro minority rights, pro LGBT rights. I am just not knee jerk in favour of whatever the cause of the day is and try to weigh it historically and pragmatically. It gets tiresome at times.

So I listen to these people raging and getting their facts wrong, unscientific, ahistorical, and they are exasperating. It is not the overal CAUSEs that are a probelm, it is how they are carried out, the analysis, the ideas that are criticized and should be criticized. Being objective is sometiems vitally necessary on both sides, and soemtiems the right is right and the left is wrong and vice versa.

If you strip gamergate down to bare bones, journalism ethics is a decent cause. Once you add on that these websites are mostly clickbait sites, it becomes a bit petty. Once you add harassment, it becomes a bit fucked up.

Cause no one else used harassment. 'Cause only GGers harassed dissidents. Ever heard of Big Red.

How does he know the person portrayed is a woman? They appear to identify as gender fluid.
It's not shocking then that unfeminity is a part of that, nor is the unfeminine nature really central to the mockery of the parody.

The other issue with it is feminists making anything women mildly dislike as an example of the horrors that await women at the hands of men. It's ridiculous. Like for instance the 'object' idea of women in video games. the truth is that historically men have had to demonstrate prowess in order to win women's approval--it's still true today. So this is a false explanation that insists that men hate women when it is not generally true but only specifically true.
