I generally feel like I align with Putin's brand of nationalism.

Main deviation would be that I totally support gay rights. Also I'm not a huge fan of corrupt oligarchs.

What? Social liberalism, and social democracy, are economic ideologies. A social liberal is for an economically liberal market, with social programs to temper the pain. That's all.

Honestly, its my unhealthy of love Henry Kissinger and Augusto Pinochet. I think Kissinger is and was a genius despite my dislike of interventionist foreign policy. I like Pinochet's stylish capes and I love helicopters. I know I'm an awful person for it.

Politically speaking, I despise identity political and rad fems as divisive forces. Also I am a big supporter of guns rights. Apparently that and support for real unions is a no-no on today's left.

I'm a strong liberal democratic socialist, I support Captial Punisment and "Stand Your Ground" laws.

I support comprehensive welfare systems and I believe all countries should be Welfare States.
Free healthcare, free education, free college etc.

I support regulated capitalism, free market etc.

I support abortion, gay marriage, equality etc.

I believe all guns should be banned from civilian use except for hunting purposes.

I believe all hate groups (which include ALL racist groups like the KKK etc.) and groups/gangs that participate in illegal activity should
be illegal and punishable.

I think we need to protect the environment and eco-system as well.

I believe in animal rights as well.

I support egalitarian feminism.

This pretty much mirrors my view with a couple exceptions: I don't think guns should be banned from civilian use, but greater emphasis should be placed on firearm safety training, focusing on proper containment and care. Oh, and background checks. 'Well-Regulated' is an important part of that particular amendment for me.

I would also note that not college is not the end-all-be-all of post-secondary education. Technical schools and apprenticeships are perfectly respectable options that should not be overlooked. Seriously we need plumbers and electricians soooooo bad. If somebody likes working with their hands and doesn't mind getting a little dirty in order to make a decent buck, more power to 'em. This isn't intended to contest your free education stance, just to augment it.

Oh, and higher minimum wage as a matter of course.

Fairly right wing but more to the left of that scale.

I believe gay marriage should be a state by state issue

I'm for gun rights

I'm against abortion, it's a make or break issue for me

I'm for a national college scholarship system based on academic merit (not free college for all, only those that can make the grades to earn it)

For free healthcare for those in poverty

For a states right to control its own education system

For protecting our environment to a degree, but human need (not want) comes first

For a border wall

For letting in refugees

For a path to citizenship for those here illegally already

For an all out assault against ISIS

Against common core

For voter ID laws (passport, social security card, or drivers license)

For free market and low taxes on business

For religious liberty

It's quite the deviation from the standard American political spectrum, considering some 90% of people here are either Conservatives, Liberals, or Moderates.

I assumed that I was deviating from what is standard according to my political ideology.

So I ask NSG, what is your general affiliation (liberal, conservative, anarchist, fascist, communist, etc) and what are your deviations from that ideology?

Can you back that up?
