When I was 14 my political thought was merely in pre-modial formation. I picked up Ideologies and ideas without having any deeper understanding of them.

I think Churchills alleged statement bears some truth.

That being said, some of my views were at the bottom of it's essence similar to my current ones. For example I started endorsing Socialism because of my dislike for Materialism and so on.

I did not knew any better. I didn had neither the expierience nor the intellectual honesty, and perhaps most importantly nobody who could have shown me the way. At least now that is different here, something those who are in the search can immensely benefit. Interestingly enough what I am now Today is exactly what I used to loathe and hate back in the Day and yet secretly felt attracted by.

Thinking back on how I was back then, I am not going to blame or look down too harsly at the youngsters amongst us.

Exactly. But I had absolute no idea about what Materialism was. I didn even knew the word. So i thought Capitalism. And since Capitalism was to blame, I'd thought that nationalizing all Private Enterprise would be a good idea.
