Is the learning disability known as autism caused by vaccines? Personally I don't think so. The scientific evidence is very much against it, and there are many stories of parents who avoided vaccines due to paranoia, but their children developed autism anyways.

Also, there are many autistic people out there who themselves admit that they think there is no correlation. These are people with firsthand experience of what it is like, and who also think that there is no link. Personally, due to the overwhelming evidence and witnesses in favour of there being no link, I suggest everybody go get vaccinated now.

IIRC, the professor who published the study that vaccines cause autism later admitted the results were wrong. So due to a complete lack of evidence - no.

For a second lets say that it does cause autism even though there is astounding evidence that it doesn't. What do you want an autistic kid or a dead kid. If you'd rather have a dead kid then go ahead and don't vaccinate because it's basically what your actions are telling others that you'd rather have a dead kid than a kid with autism.

There can be arguments to be made that vaccines can cause harm to immune compromised children who may also have mental conditions that can worsen said conditions and tendencies.
It's not a cause however and keep in mind it's important the healthy 99% is vaccinated so those at risk who are unable to and most vulnerable aren't needlessly exposed.

I would agree, except it fuels paranoia amongst parents. When you make it mandatory to vaccinate your child, parents start questioning the true motives. It's the same thing with outlawing hate speech, it only adds more fuel to the fire.

With of course the rare exceptions where people are allergic to the vaccine or the vaccine is too dangerous for them to take (compromised immune system). Herd immunity is very important to protecting those who cannot gain the immunity.
