The three track layouts yes, they run express for commuters. The 4 track runs express in both directions till the overnights.

Boston is probably my least favorite town to drive in. It is a major pain. But figure rush hour is. 6 - 9:30 am. 3 - 7 pm.

Basically Boston is kinda like Istanbul, though if there's traffic at 11pm on a Sunday it's because they narrowed 93 down to one lane in Somerville, Charleston, and the tunnel under Boston for construction.
