Neither does Islam. I am half way through reading the Qur'an right now. And have covered many Surahs on warfare in Islam. Jihad is mentioned several times, but it does mean what you think it means. It is as much spiritual as physical and the Qur'an expressively states clearly several times that Allah does not love aggressors. That Jihad is to cease once a oppressive enemy has been repelled and that the Jihad is only for the defense of faith. Been a while since I read the verses, but I doubt I am misrepresenting what it says.

Honestly, I have found nothing within the Qur'an, or with thw many Muslims I have spoken to in person or on the internet to convince me that Islam is any more inherently destructive than any other faith. You should probably read it yourself, may learn something.
