You'd think a Hilary Clinton presidency would be that different? And certainly refreshing for an Eastern Orthodox Christian to hold a position.

um...what?

Funny that how Crystal Ball and Cook Political Report show blowout numbers, while NBC News now shows Clinton not even getting to 270

it is in nbc new's advantage to have it be more of a horse race than it might be

and

I don't think that's the point of that map. it just starts with the most likely red and blue states put in and leaves it to YOU to decide the rest.

The Democrats are the mainstream left in the United States. Just because they aren't full-blown Marxists or whatever doesn't make that not true.

Probably because they know he will get a lot of the vote with both Clinton and Trump disliked so much. But, I think the claim being laid out that Johnson winning states, making nobody have 270 electoral votes, is really far-fetched at the moment, but this election has been weird.

This map is probably better, simply because it uses polls.

Although a lot of polls are out of date for solidly partisan states.

I support Darrell Castle, constitutionalist for US president, and I hope he does well for a third party candidate.

He's strongly pro-life, and willing to prioritize the issue. He opposes indiscriminate involvement in foreign wars, he seems relatively serious about balancing the budget, and he's like to support state's rights quite strongly.

A plus, even if I disagree with the religion he belongs to.

Eh, I'm not a fan of his position on immigration, but most positions on immigration are empty rhetoric and bluffing anyways.

For the poll... define "break out".

I could easily see one or more third parties passing the five percent line this time around.

But none shall win, realistically, and I'd be shocked if any got beyond single digits.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

I can only really see a maximum of one doing so (most likely the libertarians). I don't think there are enough voters willing to give 5% to both Stein and Johnson this time.
I used to run an alliance, and a region. Not that it matters now.

Depends how strong Bernie or Bust protest votes really are, and weather a stronger challenger than Johnson emerges to run third party/independent against Donald on the Right.

Apparently there's a rumour going around that Mitt will run again to sink Donald, though no credible confirmation that I'm aware of.

Its possible then, but the 2-3 cumulative factors you mentioned all need to be favourable, and I couldn't profess myself confident about any of them happening quite like this.
