Why are you an anti-feminist?

I think there is already gender equality, and as such I don't think feminism is necessary or useful.

I think there is still inequality in society (Certainly sexism, at any rate). I also think that certain individuals focussing on the issues facing those of a certain sex isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as there are others doing the same for the other, and fighting for equal rights for women doesn't have to mean sexism against men. The problem is not the basic ideas: the problem is that they're being applied by authoritarian bastards with the intelligence of a blood orange.

I call myself an anti-feminist because men are oppressed (By Feminist's standards) in America and the UK.

And that's what feminism has become. If it were to denounce the people who ruin it's name, I might support it. However, as long as those "authoritarian bastards with the intelligence of a blood orange" are the face of feminism, I will be anti-feminist.

And arguably, if it is women saying they dislike women in the poll, or they don't support feminism, would it be because of the patriarchy making it so, or would it be women themselves also disliking what the feminist movement has become?

Obviously patriarchy. Because women don't have their own agency. Duhhhhhhhh. It's not like they're humans who can decide what they don't like for themselves.

The fact that people have granted the movement power. If you take that power away. By say, oh I don't know, completely destroying the identity based discourse it's founded on and abuses to maintain it's powerbase.... Well then there we are.

By naming ideas we create camps. You build a box and let people identify 'everything in this box' as good or bad. Then it simply becomes a game of throwing your opponents into the bad boxes while putting yourself in the good box.

The word "feminist" has been hijacked by radfems ("feminazis"), LGBT hyperactivists, and other professional victims in order to advance their misandrist political agenda. I have thus, without really changing my personal beliefs, been forced to stop considering myself a feminist despite my belief in equal opportunities, rights, and responsibilities for men and women. I now use the term "egalitarian" instead, and I hope that that can remain a politically neutral method of expressing my beliefs.

Well, I've already stated it but I'd chalk it up to the woman hatting option as pretty much being the joke answer in a poll. Even I've voted for that one.

If you made a poll about rape and made, "What, rapes are wrong? When did this happen?" as an option than people are going to chose it because it's a stupid option. Obviously, everyone who is sane knows that's the case.

When you go out of your way to make it an option or attempt to "teach" people something they already know (like rape being wrong) then they will likely feign ignorance because, in all honestly, that's just how people react when you talk down to them.

That or they really hate women. . . Such is life.

I think it is a good idea. Because hating women is frequently cited as the reason for why people might be anti feminist along with ignorance, I think it was important to split woman hatred from disliking actual feminist policies about how equality should work.
