NDAA would require women to register for the draft

I wonder how this would work out. Is everybody of draftable age required to register now, or is it only those within a specific range? Any problems with this, seeing as it's very unlikely the SSS will ever be reactivated?
What is the upper limit?

I believe the age range of conscription in case a draft is imposed would be 18-25.

Personally I think this is a good idea. Its useful for education and skills training, instills discipline, serves the interests of the nation, and even possibly assists with networking, among other things, to have all citizens (male, female, other) serve in the military. Personally speaking, I'd rather a country simply had conscription where, at the age of 19, or at completion of secondary education, whichever comes sooner, every citizen who was physically able had to serve one year in the military.

In most developed nations, much of the infrastructure and services which the people rely on (healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, utilities, et cetera) only exist to the extent and quality they do because of the state, and this is just the people giving back to the state through their service and commitment to its defense.

Can we make the second one "what is your quest?"

Favourite colour is also a very important question to know about possible military recruits, so we need that as the third question.

I agree. It would not be politically feasible, but I think we should have an active draft system like Israel, Norway, Switzerland and Singpore.

Think you'll find most of them did when they were the young men straight out of school. It's only been the last few decades where most haven't been the young men who did and went to war aswell.

Hey if women are allowed in combat roles in the USA then why not? could have allowed them before hand even in the last few years. There are plenty of roles both combat and elsewhere in the forces.

Women are drafted in Norway and Israel too. Has not caused them any problems.

It takes either two thirds of both houses of Congress or two thirds of the states just to propose an amendment.

What am I meant to be seeing. I was talking about signing up for the draft and said myself most of those in now are not veterans.
