I really fucking hate apartments because of that. The things you can do in an apartment are rather limited because of the way they're built.

I'm an audiophile too, so that sucks for me living in an apartment since I love nothing more than to have my subwoofer at high volume.

I can deal with it, don't get me wrong, it's just that I'd rather prefer a surround system than to be listening music through my headphones.

Use earbuds or headphones, if your ears can take the strain. :p

Wait, never mind, you edited it as I was writing. Yeah, I get what you mean. Apartments are usually smaller than most houses so even if the rest of the people who live in apartment dont hear it, you have to worry about the people on your floor.

I buy headphones with bass boost, so bass on headphones is not an issue for me. I'd love me some Sennheiser or Boss headphones, but right now I got some cheap sub-50 dollar JVC headphones which are rather nice :p

And yea, that is always an issue. Plus if you have a subwoofer. The subwoofer's specific purpose is bass, so you can imagine what having it too loud does. Your neighbor from the floor below thinks you're bad with noise, they would fucking hate me with my sub.

I think that people who blame the victims are people who subscribe to the "If you weren't that stupid, it wouldn't have happened to you" mindset.
Which kinda confronts the idea of a "law"
