passed N4. 93/120 on language knowledge and 35/60 on listening.

my listening is a lot higher than i expected it to be, which is pretty good considering i expected to bomb it and that's the reason i went for N4 in the first place. conversely, my language knowledge is a lot lower than i expected. i know i got a few wrong but i'm fairly confident i got most right, especially on the reading section which i confirmed using dodgy chinese scans. i have no idea how their weird weighting system works or what my approximate ratio of correct answers was for vocab and grammar, so all i can say is that i am mildly disappointed.

e: also got an A for each section, which means i got 67% or higher right. wait that means i got >67% of listening right wtf.

anyway, will be progressing onto N3 in july.

Good luck! I don't know how well Japanese discussion threads fare well with Chinese speakers. I guess they can only understand the kanji stuff.

Yeah, but kanji's pretty much passed on from Korea and China. So, Japan adopted their language pretty much from Korea and China, primarily Korea, though, since Korean rural people migrated to Japan (Yayoi people) and made a civilization there.
