Yeah I know we all hate Palin and think she is a nut.
Is it not a little past even a comedy show to reference her child with Down's syndrome?

It's not particularly funny. But they've had episodes about equally offensive topics. All the complaining only validates them - the aim was to shock and offend

Something about moving the target to her Child with down's syndrome just seems to be in rather poor taste.

All Post-Cancellation episodes haven't been funny, and they are getting dumber with each episode.

Well it's the "poor taste" that draws a crowd. Is it not?

Do you have a link to the actual clip that is a problem? I'm bias to think it was the typical sick ableist, and possibly sexist stereotyping and hate but I'd rather see it first so I know what I'm commenting on.

I wasn't saying I was agreeing. I was just saying that it's controversy that draws people. (I think)

Its Family Guy. What do you expect out of them?

I think its a bit offensive, but its a show. Nothing more. They do a lot of bad stuff on the show, but they never get in much trouble because its a show. Just a show. And look at it this way: They are portraying a guy falling for a girl with DS. Thats not all that bad. So they slipped a joke about Palin in there. You don't see her suing or condemning NationStates, who I see poking fun at a lot of people. I think it was just a harmless little joke to show that they still offend people. And its not like Palins husband is an accountant(?). How do we know that she isn't adopted by the former-former Governor of Alaska?

Point is, its a joke on a second rate TV show.

...it's Family Guy! Half the humor is in going too far, in making fun of someone and making you feel bad for laughing.

Kind of like Sarah Palin, only intentionally so.

No. The girl with Down syndrome was a sympathetic character until she started acting like a douchebag, which the audience is meant to assume is a result of her upbringing by the Palin family.

Stop watching it if it offends you.

Hell no. Family Guy knocks everyone and they don't hold back, neither does South Park. South Park smacks hard too.

Which is more controversial (is that's the right word) FG or SP?

Family guy will always attempt to be edgy. Half the point of the actual character WAS to be offensive. If you can't take that Palin, then find another profession; you obviously shouldn't be in Politics.
