Derrick Rose is injured most of the time. I'd say RIP Knicks for getting rid of 3 players for someone who barely plays, but the Knicks weren't really alive this season

Now now, remember when people were saying RIP Chicago Blackhawks over how their owner was such a cheapskate?
How did it turn out for them in the end?
It wasn't for that part. It was for them trading Rose away for a meagre package. End of what was a pretty short era with the hometown boy Rose.

We also see George Hill go to the Jazz, and the 12th pick go to Atlanta in the trade. Seems odd, considering just last season Atlanta were a top seed, 60 win team, but I guess there's something going on in that organisation

So the news has been reporting a false scare of there being an active shooter in an around Tower City as people were leaving from the parade. Apparently, one girl was shot and the suspect was taken into custody. (Now I'm hearing they maybe got the wrong guy). I was in Tower City at the time and while it's hard to get an accurate idea of what happened within all the chaos, the media reports definitely aren't giving the whole story.
It started with a couple of girls running into Tower City on the second level screaming. There was confusion as to what they were saying at first until around 6-10 gunshots were heard. Panic ensued as people barricaded themselves behind tables and whatever other cover they could find. I initially took cover behind a bench with my mother and a mall security guard ( we had been waiting in line to catch RTA).
The mall security lady was an older woman and she was absolutely terrified (as was I). She was praying asking for forgiveness and for those first 30 seconds or so I really thought I might die. There was a second round of shots fired during this time and we were in a very vulnerable position. I finally convinced my mom to make a run for it and along with hundreds of other people we ran through a long hallway and out through the parking deck. Once we got outside, most of us thought we were at least somewhat safe but then a third round of shots was heard. We all took off running again until we got to a safe distance.
That's as much as I experienced first hand, but I returned to Tower City a few hours later after we were sure the area was secure and it had been reopened. The line for RTA was at least a 3 hour wait before the shooting but when we came back it was almost empty.
Looking back, it seems the shooter(s) had specific target(s) as it could have been a complete tragedy given the massive number of helpless people there.
Anyways, the parade was awesome and I'm happy for Cleveland, but it's unfortunate that something like this happened. I understand the city wanting to protect Cleveland's image on what is supposed to be an amazing day for our city. Luckily, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been and I hope everyone who was or is still there has a safe trip home.
If i had been 5 minutes later I would have been upstairs in the shit.
I was heading westward on Red. The eastward people clearly were frightened and, i think, ran on the tracks to flee. We couldnt see, i was towards the beginning of the west line.
On the westward line we heard rumors of person running and cops chasing. We saw the eastward people freaking out. Our line quickly became overfull. Then the alarm went off and people were scared.
On the train, people shared stories of being upstairs and watching cops with guns drawn, and people hiding under tables.
I was down waiting for the blue line, about to get in the next train. The police went running towards the stairs and next thing I know, everyone is screaming and pushing and knocked over the barricades. We had a guy bust open the emergency exit and ran up the exit into the tower city tunnel. It was honestly the scariest thing I've experienced. My friend lost one of his shoes, and we ended up walking four miles (him with only one shoe) and had someone come pick us up. It was crazy the amount of panic in the RTA station. I also lost my finals hat in all the commotion (but that's the least of my worries)

Crappy triple-a teams don't count.
