It's silly, but if you're really that angry about it, it's a harmless way to release some of the aggression.

The MVP wilted during the playoffs. Officials are less eager to call fouls then, so he had to toughen up, and he couldn't.

Add to that the fact that the already simmering personality clashes and feuds in Oakland will heat up with this new catalyst in the equation, and I predict disaster.

Do you recall when everyone said Chicago was so loaded with star power that even Cleveland was no match for them? National broadcasts were saying that just two years ago,

To have many stars work well together, you need what San Antonio had; a mild mannered superstar at the top, and a seasoned veteran coach. GS fails on both counts.

Tim Duncan was quiet and steady. He didn't let things get to him. That's what makes a good leader. Or a roaring lion who gets everyone fired-up, like King James. Not sure where Steph Curry fits in between.

I have an oversized Westbrook jersey. I previously had a record of players leaving if I have their jersey, but since I got this one, he's been resigned by the Thunder twice.

I heard a rumor that the THunder could not trade him because he only had one year left on his contract, and no team was willing to take such a short-tern risk.
So OKC gave him two years just to make him more attractive as trade bait.
Sounds weird, but who knows?

I thought they wanted to trade him so they could get something for him instead of letting him walk. Clearly not going to happen now.

That's what happened with my Colston jersey.

Same with my Grizzlies Pau Gasol jersey. At least it still said Gasol :P

I also had a Penny Hardaway jersey once. Obviously that wasn't an issue, because it was his original Magic jersey and that had long ended anyway :P

You can also note that the Spurs have the epitome of a one for all, all for one system. When a player signs with the Spurs, he's not just joining a team. Being a Spur is practically a way of life. You see that with how they've integrated themselves in the community (George Gerwin with his youth center and David Robinson with his academy). You see that in videos like this one on the Spurs Youtube channel.

It's a family atmosphere from top to bottom. That's why the Big Three all took pay cuts to help the team financially, why Duncan stuck with his father figure in Coach Pop even when he could've bounced to Orlando, and why Duncan has a day named for him in San Antonio. He was something special, but I'd also say Parker and Ginobli are mild mannered superstars too; the entire team is practically mild mannered. It's expected of a Spur. You play not for yourself, but for your comrades. Robinson pretty much summed up the Spurs philosophy here.

The core of the Spurs experiment, though, is the front office. Consistent 50+ win seasons and the best winning percentage in North American sports has got to speak volumes. All three work hand in hand with such selfless play and cooperation that it's like watching Coach Carter all over again, expecting Kawhi Leonard to do the "our greatest fear" speech. :p

Truly, the Spurs are one of the best franchises in the history of the league; the way they play, the overall chemistry in the team not just on the court. Outstanding to watch. People might find them "boring," but the history books couldn't care less if they were boring or exciting to such people. They only care that they won it all.

Derek Fisher and Metta World Peace both came out to say they could still play.

Fisher is the all-time NBA record holder in playoff games played and was the one who hit the buzzer beater with 0.4 seconds left in game 5 of the 2004 WCF against the Spurs (boooooo!) while Metta World Peace is the name Ron Artest gave himself after his role in the notorious Pistons-Pacers brawl.

I thought Derek Fisher had a coaching stint with the Knicks this season

Also, World Peace played in the 15/16 season, so...

He did, but he was fired after a rather rough start. On Twitter, though, he said, "If an NBA team expresses interest, I'm open to dialogue, but at the moment I have no steadfast plan to play again."

As for MWP, that's true, but his statement was in the context of how he thinks he could do much more if given the chance ("‘I could have averaged 15 or 20 on the Lakers if I played, easily’).

"The admiral fighting the final wave...about to come to shore!"

Today is the birthday of the Admiral, one half of the Twin Towers, David Robinson! The NBA paid tribute by uploading his quadruple-double against the Detroit Pistons.

Take it easy, Admiral, and thank you for your hard work and determination on and off the court.

It's come out that Durant wasn't too fond of the attention he got in OKC.

According to Stein:

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine

Story going online now: League sources say Oklahoma City is tentatively scheduled to play host to Kevin Durant for the first time on Feb. 11

OKC's Enes Kanter has been disowned by his family for his politicial affliation. His father penned a note in which he said, ""I apologize to the Turkish people and the president for having such a son."
