This is true, however, following the migration of their culture into the Baltic regions which gave rise to Finnish and the Baltic states -- their close proximity to a major contributor of Slavic culture, and at a few points in history being under the rule of said slavic country, it's not entirely unfounded to see the linguistic mesh that has formed in that region. Polish is a Western Slavic language, and yet has adopted a massive vocabulary from German that sets the language apart slightly from the rest of the family.

There are about 1000 Russian loan words in Finnish.
Some are so old and well settled that you wouldn't recognize as loans without searching up the history of words-

Yes. That would be optimal.
What I suggested would at least make sure that any computers that were forgotten to shut down would power off.
Then again that (using timer/clock) probably would teach some bad manners-

I feel like I've fucked up in life. The odds of me finding love are virtually nil given how most people meet their SOs.

If Misty is like my cat and the dog knows that, they'll be playing fetch in a minute.

Actually, Misty is rather a bully with other animals, especially dogs, so I wouldn't be surprised if she just tries to either chase the dog off the property, slap it or hiss at it until it leaves or tries to do something to her. However, because of friends' past experiences with pets around here, we do not let Misty out of the house.
