Sorry, I just had to get something mildly amusing in.
Anyhow, this law is stupid, I believe the state gov is stupid, I believe the Greensboro City Council should be an absolute power in the state. Praise Bacon.

Right to life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, our very democratic principles which make us unafraid to act on our own accord in front of others based on our own beliefs?

Even if this argument was legitimate, I'd counter by saying that this nation was founded secular - separation of church/state and all that. You're free to be religious, but the government isn't and it isn't governed by religious law, because of how it was founded.
That is contradictory because when this nation was founded on unbiased and secular values which instills rights supposedly available to and usable by EVERY MEMBER OF THE POPULATION, we should not marginalize the religious or the LGBT population! It also contradictory to the freedom of speech which our nation proudly presents.

The word "Conservative" automatically implies hardheadedness, no?
I wouldn't say "hard-headed", given that such a word means, according to Oxford, "Practical and realistic; not sentimental". I would say that Conservatism, in how I've seen it most often, is more the ideology of stubbornly adhering to the way things were in the past, or appealing to the past in a manner to preserve the present state of things, as well as a force of reaction against any element of change. Which is fine. After all, you need some friction to keep a vehicle in motion.
Doesn't make it right on this issue, or other issues, but hard-headed I think may not be the proper term. Currently, in this issue especially, its the same as the protests against changing the legal definitions of marriage, and expanding adoption rights, to encompass homosexual couples, and the outcry about the loss the the privileges that Christianity once had through the state to increasingly impose 'Christian values' on an ever increasingly non-Christian population. Its more of a reaction against change and societal evolution, from everything I've seen of it.

Subjective enforcement will be the method in question. You look like you might be the opposite gender and you get the coppers on you and evicted from the premises. Or expelled/suspended/arrested.
