Taft is in my view one of the most underrated Presidents in US history. He set in motion the basis of the future American soft power via trade. He further introduced Dollar Diplomacy and handled a number of LA crises quite admirably.

He also expanded antitrust enforcement, was an active supporter of open borders, and had a respect for the law and the limits of the Presidency exceeding most other Presidents.

Pathway to Election (Stairway to Heaven)

Postby New Jerzylvania » Mon Jun 06, 2016 9:30 pm

Pathway to Election (Stairway to Heaven) ~ apologies to Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin

There's a lady who's sure what glitters is Goldmans
And she's buying a pathway to election.
When she gets there she knows, if the polls are all closed
With a word she can get what they paid for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a pathway to election.

There's a fool for some wall, but he wants to be sure
'Cause he knows that his lies have dual meaning.
In the rule by the book, there's an email that sings,
Sometimes all of our mistakes aren’t forgiven.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling she gets taking money from the rich,
As their spirits are buying her influence.
In my thoughts I have seen bomb blasts through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand burning.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered real soon, that she’ll call the tune,
The White House will be unreasonable.
And new days will dawn for those who belong,
And the Democrats echo with laughter.

If there's a Trump in your hedgefund, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for this new queen.
Yes, there are two paths Dems can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road they're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Tempers are burning and it won't stop, in case you don't know,
The reaper's calling you to join him,
Hillary, did Monica suck him, and did you know
Your truth lies on the meaning of what is is?

And as we’re blind on down your road
A heart smaller, cold without soul.
There walks the lady Wall Street knows
Who speaks white lies and wants to show
How everything still turns to Goldman gold.
And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last.
When all’s said and done she’s bought and sold
She’s owes them, but dreads their phone calls.

And she's buying a pathway to election.

Michael Reagan: I won't vote for Trump, and neither would my father.

Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham is calling for Republicans to rescind their endorsements of Trump, saying that Trump's comments on Judge Curiel are "the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy."

But we're still uniting the Republican Party, right Donald?

And something about having a defective Reagan gene.

Just to add to this, Paul Ryan called Trump's remarks about Judge Curiel "the textbook definition of a racist comment."

Ryan still endorses Trump because he doesn't want to see Clinton win, but several members of the party aren't letting Trump off easily. It's like they know they may end up supporting him all the way to the Presidency only to spend four years carefully disavowing everything he says.

Oh, if Trump wins there will be subtle subversion, as opposed to Hillary's blatant subversion from Republicans.

If somehow this election went to the house, some massive amount of soul searching should take place. But it's DC so no souls left, they've been sold long ago.
But seriously, if Gary Johnson has at least one electoral vote, he might be observed as a savior.

I think the appropriate phrase is something with rats and a sinking ship.

If Trump was a ship, he'd be called Trumptanic, the most luxurious ship around but the arrogance of the captain and him ignoring iceberg warnings will lead to the inevitable end. Those who jump off the ship are being smart.
I do not support Donald J. Trump
Inverted Flag Law: US Code Title 4 Section 8 Paragraph (a): The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
The United States of America has been in a state of dire distress since November 8, 2016. Flying the flag upside down is not only our right, it is our duty!

Yes I agree with this. People like Paul Ryan and Newt Gingrich are supporting a racist and they know it. I'm proud that people like Romney and Mccain aren't going to endorse this guy simply because they want their party to win.
Political and religious views don't define whether you are a good or bad person, unless you want to actively hurt everyone who doesn't believe what you say.

Donald Trump is giving what may be, his best speech, and it is on a teleprompter. He's talking about the General Election and His Role as the Nominee...he's closing out the Primary. It's...very very good and I'm afraid.
