There were some conservatives here who wanted to vote Hillary because she's not Trump.

Trump spent his entire life as a cheerfully liberal Democrat supporter up until he saw an opening for self-promotion caused by the chaos in the GOP, that's a bit different from not being 'conservative enough'.

Hillary has been a solid Democrat for decades, even if not on the cutting edge of liberalism. To equate to Trump she would have had to be a dedicated Republican up until...2012 or so, fighting for traditional marriage and banning abortion and abolishing unions and bringing God back to our schools until suddenly deciding that she was the most classy and great liberal Democrat ever because there was an opening on the Democratic ticket.

The spelling and punctuation is passable, it just doesn't say anything.

The only thing like a policy objection is: "She is in favor of continuing to allow banks to gamble with depositor money. The practice that collapsed the economy in 2008, of which we are yet to recover from."

No, that doesn't seem to be her policy.

The guy probably thinks Dodd-Frank is something about pointy hats for the military ...

Political relativity.

He's standing next to Trump and Kasich. That causes an apparent blue shift when looking at Kasich.

All frontrunners, regardless of political affiliation, are generally full of themselves.

Still, I had some hope that Kasich was above that.

It's the GOP primary thread. Seeing as Kasich is in the GOP primaries, I think I should be allowed to mention interesting news about any one of three candidates.

That is what scares me about Trump. He will play to the rabble to keep power and will essentially have to do what they want to keep power.

I'm hoping for a brokered convention in the same way folks imagine people watch NASCAR waiting for a pile up.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Second update since March 15 to fivethirtyeight's delegate tracker: Who's on track, Republicans

With all but one delegate (NC) sheeted to candidates, Trump is behind on his path to the majority for the first time since New Hampshire.

Unfortunately, I don't think that will last. Because Tuesday had Rubio still in, henceforth he's out.

He was an asshole in the late nineties as a congressman, leading the witch hunt impeachment of Bill Clinton that only accomplished one thing....

It made sure Al Gore wouldn't be a lock for election as POTUS. And as even odder events would unfold in November 2000 on election day, the GOP ticket got elected. That ticket turned out to be Bush/Cheney. When they would finally be done with the country in 2008, America had become so disenchanted with the GOP leadership that it turned to an African American Democrat, whose middle name is Hussein, and found the will to elect him over John McCain by a whopping margin of 7% of the popular vote.

Now eight years later, the GOP has impaled itself so deeply upon their hatred of the Barack Hussein Obama presidency that it has become a potential mortal wound for the party. WTF. Maybe that impeachment of Slick Willy over a blow job from a fat chick in the oval office wasn't such a brilliant idea. But in 1998, Congressman Kasich sure as HELL thought so and ran his mouth about it ad nauseum.

Yeah, he's an asshole.
