Trump supports spending on tech rather than manpower, and to start turning a profit out of military protection of countries instead of a loss. If our military started providing revenue, that would be a very different matter.

Are you really comparing Russia to Saudi Arabia in either policy aims (Saudi Arabia's is to radicalize Muslims) or domestic issues? And how many people has Putin jailed for criticizing him compared to Erdogan?

Putin is a good man, tbh. He's restoring morality in Russia and is a Godsend to Christians in the Middle East.

I disagree.
Even if you make the very dangerous and dubious assumption that he does not mean and/or will not be able to act on what he says, the mere fact of his election would do immeasurable damage. It would further legitimize bigotry and political violence as part of the mainstream of American politics, even establish them, potentially, as the dominant ideology. It would make minorities and women feel far more threatened in America. It would make us even more look like dangerous fools in the eyes of the rest of the world. And it would cause economic instability due to fear of what his presidency might cause.
