Except Canada's not a member of the nuclear club. To say nothing of the fact that the idea of nuclear winter has been debunked (or at least should have been) since the end of the First Gulf War.

Better hope your skill set is in high demand or have a job lined up. We actually have some tough immigration here in Canada.

I imagine there's a study visa of some sort I could apply for, correct? And I'm a physics major. Hard to imagine any nation (except for possibly Russia) having too many physicists.

Until you realize you can't afford to live in BC. A shack will cost you 1.5 million and gas is $1.10 a litre.

Living anywhere in BC can be a bit spendy, but Vancouver is really bad. And, honestly, I think all the big cities are expensive to live in. Saskatchewan is still reasonably priced, though.

$1.10/L for gas is about the same for most of Canada.

Hmmm...I recall my sister telling me recently that gas was down a bit in Calgary, so fair enough. :)

Upon closer review, it looks like the average is about .85 across most of Canada. Vancouver is, in fact, the worst on average.

Why not another member of the Anglo sphere?

Depends how many Trump supporters have trade skills, with regard Australia. Plus Canada is much closer, and they can always return south after eight years of Canadian winters. :P

Hell if anything Korea or Japan sounds like a nice place to live.

Personally, I'd choose New Zealand. Seems rather peaceful down there. :)

I can go down to Mexico or El Salvador, I can even go to Nicaragua, which is one of the safest countries in Latin America cause Central America has open borders across its territories, so Canada is merely an option for me and not a good one at that. Too fucking cold in Canada for me.

Calgary or Edmonton? In Edmonchuk, at least, you could rely on transit only to be late. I'd say you might feel better about it if you had a car, but Alberta drivers...yeesh.

lol yup Edmonton. Always late, and on time isn't good time. If you're lucky enough to live near an lrt line, you can watch cars outrun it.

I take my driving shifts on road trips, but in city driving is pretty white knuckled. I have nearly rear ended folks cuz they decided to stop in the middle of the road to text.

But don't you realise, once the ACA was passed the USA ceased to be, and the Muslamic Caliphate of Obamastan came into existence. So in a sense, he did leave the US, and so did everyone else.

Which is why Trump's slogan is "Make America Great Again." It's about taking back the country from the Obamanistas.
