Volkswagen otoh is currently somewhat less loved.

I can get behind this. As long as it's associated with Nazism and fascism, it gives them something to rally around. If everyone's doing it, it won't be as powerful a symbol to Neo-Nazis than it is now, and people can stop being falsely accused of doing it when they're just raising their arm.

Hell, the only reason the Pledge exists in the first place is because it was a way to sell flags to schools. It's not any sort of real tradition like people think it is.
