I'll probably be voting Green (since there are no socialists in North Redneckistan), but that's not why I want to leave.

What can we do? Every time we shove our noses in over there, things just get worse. I don't want to imagine what could be worse than Daesh.

I don't understand why, out of all things I can hear tonight, I'm only hearing shit that pisses me the fuck off.

Seriously, I don't understand what's honorable about death by crucifixion. It's not like we're so eager to go to the Middle East and get crucified ourselves.

Uh, yeah. That's far from honorable. Only thing I can think is if people think it's some huge honor to die the same way Jesus did, but it was a shameful death when He did it.

I've largely decided that trying to engage in actual debate in NSG isn't worth it. I do it now and then, but only when I'm in the mood.

I mean, when St. Peter was crucified, he didn't think he was worthy...but at the same time, I wonder what he was thinking about...all the things he and Jesus had been through together, maybe? How he had betrayed Him and then how He had forgiven him? Did he wonder if he did a good job raising His flock?

There's not a lot of definite answers, when one gets martyred. Yes, we should pray they are in Heaven with Jesus, and we should ask them to pray for us. But I have no idea what this priest is thinking at the moment.
