Huh. My half-rims were open on the bottom. This isn't fair. I could've looked like a sexy librarian, not the constant Velma, "I can't see!"

Bad idea. I lost my lenses out of those bloody things so damn much.

Shouldn't have purchased the ones that happened to be half-rimmed on the top half.

EDIT: This was a joke before I read your previous post.

They didn't have open-rims on the top when I went. They were held in by what was practically fishing line, and well, because of how bad my eyesight is and what I needed them to be, they were around $350. So I dealt with lens constantly falling out for years.

My professor's wife is deaf. Apparently it was sexy to him. He met her because he dated her twin sister first.

For me, it's different as I'd be progressively losing my hearing steadily over the next ten to twenty years due to Meniere's Disease combined with working around industrial plants.

Huh, I don't think I've ever seen any open-rimmed glasses in the store before.

My first pair of glasses was an oval pair. The second pair went to rectangle. I've been through oval shaped glasses since then.

A question for anyone not from 'Murrikuh - How hard is it to get an immigrant visa to your respective countries?

Depends, really. Your best bet is to check with the Interior offices or Embassies. They usually carry that information for you.
