Holding conversations in the Public Restroom

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I walk into a public restroom and a co-worker or friend strikes up a conversation---at the urinal, in the stall, or at the sinks. I don't care, hold off talk until we're out of here.

What are NSers' opinions on holding conversations in the public restroom? Is it OK? Or not? What are some of your potty-talk experiences?

I don't want to be reminded of the fact that other people are a thing that exists while I'm trying to relieve myself. There's a reason one German euphemism for toilets is "Stilles Örtchen", which word-by-word translates into "silent place".

I don't think it's either good or bad. It just happens at times, particularly in busy venues, like an airport, that people strike up conversations. I prefer not to do it myself, but I don't feel it's either good or bad. Just something that at times can occur.
