Creating babies without Men, I.E. Cloning, would be very ineffective as the clone will be genetically identical to its 'mother' or 'father.' These similarities go straight down to the immune system and if you continue copying someone the immune system wont be able to adapt as quickly and a possible virus could easily wipe out the population with extreme ease because each person is exactly the same.

There's nothing wrong with it per se as it lets Lesbian couples have children- I suppose the real issue is whether these children have two genetic mothers or if they're actually clones.

Let's say someone uses my DNA to make a clone (though why anyone would want to do that would baffle me to no end). Is that clone his own person or my property?

Let's say your parents had identical twins instead of just you. Would that be two people or would one twin be the property of the other?

But this is the kind of thing that has been mentioned before and always pointed out that:
[*]It's easier to just use a sperm bank
[*]Only a small group would require this over regular insemination
[*]It's probably not cost effective, you know because men produce it so often you could probably fill a lake with the global output.
[*]Why choose this over artificial wombs?
[*]If you're going to do either why not both?
[*]Why not just use surrogate, it's even possible to remove the surrogate's DNA and only have DNA from the parents.

It's kind of a waste of money at this time, that being said don't mistake me for against LGBT couples having children. My girlfriend is trans and we're probably going to look into one of the methods I mentioned.

Thing is this is no worse than an identical twin. One person will probably not be the source for more than one or two clones. And people will not only clone. And will modify their clones to make them better so that they are no longer a true clone. If this does happen. And it is not happening soon.

Why do people assume only one lesbian would suddenly be the only one to clone herself billions of times (how does she afford this?) and nobody else will clone of reproduce? That is the only way this could be a problem.

I wasn't planning on getting cloned, but I suppose that is how it would work. And it would seem strange, being that it has never before happened in human history.

If we can make female sperm it would not be cloning as we are still combining two different genetic codes (the egg from one woman and the sperm from the other). For men to similarly reproduce is a little harder as not only is male eggs needed, a artificial womb is also necessary.
