An interesting fact, Antoine Jones was both a person of color and gay, and Scalia was the 5th vote in United States v. Jones, 132 S. Ct. 945 (ruling a tracking device placed on a car was a seach).

Scalia's jurisprudence is more complicated than your worldview allows.

Not really complicated, just consistent.

As for Scalia I didn't care much for him either way, but it does suck for the family. He lived a long life though, death is the only gurantee is life and he was able to hold it off until he was elderly, but it happens one way or another.

Hope the new justice is pro-Indian on Indian Law, yes Mushet hopes that, surprise surprise.

I'll miss his opinions. Obamacare wouldn't have even been upheld if it weren't for one Judas on SCOTUS. There is probably going to be a far left lock on the court from here on out.

Justices are not politicians, the ruling on the ACA was consistent with Robert's judicial philosophy.

Right, as it should be. When there are sensible right-wing people out there, I shall review my position, but as it stands, I welcome this change in the composition of the court. The Constitution isn't here to cause people pain and suffering; it should be re-interpreted as it becomes necessary. As long as the democratic structure is preserved, which ultimately is the core of the document, nothing terribly out of line will happen.

Far left lock? The right wing extremist lock was just broken. But yes it would be nice to have a pro-American left wing majority instead of another America-hating bigot like Scalia.

I can point to a few people in history who I do not give any respect just because they "stood for what they believed". Think first half 20th century.
