What do you all think of Anonymous?

So after reading through some news articles and blogs, my opinion of the infamous hacker group has been swiveled. They appear to be somewhat anti-semetic, according to this article:

As well as numerous other articles and tweets from Anon Operations show an increasingly anti-jewish standpoint. As one who has somewhat supported Anonymous over the years, I would like to know what you think, as I will not side with a group that promotes hatred.

Anonymous isn't even a real, unified thing. There are nazi far-right Anonymous and there are SJW far-left Anonymous.

I really couldn't care less about them. If they are "anti-semitic," fuck 'em. They haven't done anything really constructive anyway, so no need to throw support behind a few neckbeards on 4chan.

Some are antisemites, some are conspiratards, some are just activists, it's hard to say for sure what I feel about a group with no ideology in particular. Some goals they work towards and admirable and some are despicable.

anonymous is not a hacker group. there are hacker groups which are almost exclusively populated by people that call themselves anonmyous, but neither of them can exclusively claim the term. to be honest it sort of seems like you don't really understand the concept of anonymous.

Most of the actions of "Anonymous" or at least the more coordinated ones have my approval. If some of the people who call themselves Anonymous happen to be anti-Semitic then that's a shame, but it's also no surprise given that the idea of Anonymous originated from 4chan.
