Hence the DRPK trip.

Actually I don't get any information about Albania from western sources. The west simply doesn't bother talking about Albania all that much. I doubt you could find many westerners who even know where Albania is.
Where I get my information on Albania is from Albanians now living in Canada, who like many other Albanians fled the awful economic conditions of their homeland and posed as Greeks in various countries throughout the EU, eventually making their way here. And all of them agree that Albania under Hoxha was absolutely dreadful. In fact, if you dare broach the subject, you yourself will be subject to hours of increasingly drunken lectures. They will go on and on about trying to get permits to buy refrigerators, about the constant fear of being put into work camps, or of having actually BEEN in such, etc etc. It's depressing beyond belief. I've yet to meet an Albanian who didn't so virulently hate communism that it borders on the obsessive, and to be honest, given the circumstances they've lived through, I can't really blame them, even though it makes them seem a little silly sometimes when they get all suspicious about 'socialist' programs here.
So no. My sources are Albanian.

So is he a communist furry or a communist pedo?
I don't think Hoxha would have approved of either.

See, I always knew Canada was run by Communists, with their state-sponsored igloos and pot-smoking beavers. (Which, by the way, clears up where the Russians got those hats) Although, to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing a beaver smoke a doobie, that'd probably be pretty entertaining. I did see one smoke a cigar once, but that was in Tijuana.

Is that all you have? You seriously think coming into a forum and saying "my Daddy says this" will make your position compelling?

No, Albanians who fled their country because things are dirty and corrupt, who hate that Albania is so fucked up, yet who would also not want to return to the 'grand old years' of torture, forced labour, and a complete lack of civil and political rights.
I don't really care about your sources. When it comes to learning about places, I trust people who come from those places.
