I did almost a year ago. Still, missing home. Not ''guay'' (cool) at all. :p

Well, whenever I get homesick I turn to the people that are with me and it passes right away.

Damn... Now the only thing I can think off is that Para-guay means "Almost-cool" in my head because para=almost in Greek.

We need more bands called "Thing" and the "Things". I think it's kinda charming

We have a local band called Not Tonight and The Headaches. I've only heard of them because Dad is friends with the drummer.

Mild is like, cooler than average. This is hot.

Well I'd expect the Rio Grande to be hot since it's like desert...isn't it? Also, Wellington is very close but not quite. Go directly west onto the South Island and you've hit it.

As for "sheltered", any Wellingtonian will tell you when a southerly rolls through that "sheltered" is something they wish they had.

Being on a bay that opens up right to the south must suck, I'm sure.
I followed your instructions and Google Maps showed me these villages in the fjords and Blenheim was a bit to the south. The Rio Grande valley is in a semiarid region and yeah, it does get hot there. It's just that that part of Texas usually keeps the heat in winter when Florida doesn't.

Keep going west. Into Tasman Bay.
