I just ignore them. Given, I've met nice vegans that weren't twats, and I don't have a problem with them. But I've met those that are the stereotypical in your face lards that get their panties in a wad if you so much as breath on a fur coat or a sandwich. I generally tell them to fuck off and continue on with my day.

That's what I'd do, but I'm usually unfailingly and self-destructively polite and they tend to pop up as friends of friends all the time.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Third house to burn down in this neighbourhood, which it's an old neighbourhood and two, basically the projects of the city now. They've busted 4-5 meth labs and drugs ops in this area in the past few years, so who knows.
