They already have the missiles, they just lack a capable re-entry device so the warhead would burn up if they fired it somewhere as far as the US.

Seoul and Tokyo are within range, however, correct?

North Korea is now isolated. You see, all super power nations have told them to stop further research in weapons of mass destruction. China and Russia for example, they're afraid that, the radiation would affect China and Russia, consider diagram 1.1, the star shows the detonation site, which is not far from Russia and China, thus, in their point of view, they will for sure condemn North Korea, which will leave N. Korea vulnerable to the UN's condemnation.

No, an H-bomb is a thermonuclear weapon, which is more damaging and powerful than what is commonely called a nuke

You mean the ones actual nuclear powers use, which almost always use fusion?
such as the bombs dropped on Japan.

Which were primitive and have little bearing on modern warfare.

Underground nuclear tests are what you do when you don't want to damage (in NK's case) the little land you still have. There's no real risk of radiation spreading as far as China or Russia.

Though I hear China's getting fed up with it's little allies shit.

Nope, and chances are that isn't something we'll be able to find out.

They are, which is why NK has been getting close with Russia again. They've done it as long as they've been independent, when one gets tired of them they go to the other and keep getting things they need.

That's true, China and Russia are both unhappy, just to be clear, when I said nuclear radiation, I meant the spread of nuclear radiation by accident, not by detonation.

I'll worry more when they can get their Taepodongs to stage properly. A nuclear middle that explodes 10 seconds after lift off isn't as apocalyptic as the name implies.

In short, "fascist" is a modern word for "heretic," branding an individual worthy of excommunication from the body politic. The right uses otherwords ("reverse-racist," "feminazi," "unamerican," "communist") for similiar purposes, but these words have less elastic meanings. Fascism, however, is the gift that keeps on giving. - Jonah Goldberg, revisited.

I would think that people with faulty nuclear technology are more dangerous than those with the same technology but have managed to master it.

However, a nuke is a lot more psychologically damaging and can render Seoul unusable

You seem to assume the ROK doesn't have a functioning air-defence system, or an air force.

North Korea has long had the access to radiological, biological, and chemical weapons. Their ability to easily kill large numbers of civilians, and their willingness to do so has never been in doubt. They've always been a ticking time bomb. The question is their ability to follow through on their threat.
