However, it is civil disobedience. You KNOW the consequences of civil disobedience. If I engage in an act of civil disobedience for legitimate grievances I am going in with the understanding I am, most likely, getting arrested, and you know what? Good. It means the police are doing their jobs, even if I disagree with a stupid law so much to break it.

Opposition to federal land management policy is a legit grievance in my eye. If these nuts bothered to take a page from past protest movements they'd understand that picking a fight with the feds without a grassroots support mechanism in cities, towns, and states is idiotic and backfires quite hard. As a high school american public school student, I've been learning about the constitutions in for half my life in over five schools, and in three states. I have a quiz tomorrow that includes recognizing supreme court cases by resolution and applying specific amendments to them by memory - and have had similar questions on quizzes for a month now.

I think they're the ones who need better education on the constitution...
