Galaxie?

Don't you mean 'melkweg'? Galaxie is quite an anglicism :p

These days 'melkweg' is more common, but back in 1858 Dutch astronomers tended to speak of a galaxie whenever they observed the universe.

I know that Star Wars was a long long time ago, but I always thought they meant the 1970s, not the 19th century

"Maitotie" sounds silly in Finnish, but I guess it's because it's not term used here so I've not gotten used to it. :p

Everything that happens in Star Wars was far before the rise of our current civilizations. The same goes for Dragonball Z, by the way.

Everything was very long ago, that's why you don't see smartphones in Star Wars en Dragonball Z. Or on religious paintings depicting the adventures of Jesus, for that matter.

So that's how it works. Quick, note to self: in 40 years, travel back in time to the 1400s and rule as a God because I have all the advanced technology on my side.

The gaul of those Gauls.
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.
