I did not have good Spanish in school. It's the way they structure it


I can't speak for England's education system as I never went to school there, and my tutoring wasn't done at school either. It was particular classes. Mom and her nagging.

On the plus side, I got the dog "wore out" so he's go back to sleep. On the down side, the "wearing out" was trying to get him to poop, and it just hurt so much he got tire. :(
On the very, very down side, I also have no time to get any sleep before work.

More than likely. Spanish has idioms too but the plus there is is that I grew up with them. On a different language, however... hilarity ensues. I can imagine that I would have the same hilarious issues with your language.

You don't really do phrases. What happened was, we would just learn a block of stuff at once. Like, we would learn everything about places in town but outside of saying "I'm off to the cinema today" it made it impossible to conduct a proper conversation

We would always start with word memorization (of what I recall) and then verb tenses. Finally it was grammar and usage in a sentence. Music and watching movies helped me a lot. Also, reading. If I didn't know a word, dictionary to the rescue. I learned a lot that way, believe it or not.

Use duolinguo. Super fast lessons but they go a long way.
