IF he made his company money it is justified, as a CEO he has a duty to make investors like me money, I would have fired him and replaced him with someone else if he did not do this.

Which is an enormous issue with the health industry being subject to the free market. However, in this particular case, he wasn't even a very good capitalist. His antics caused enormous damage to the image of the company, and even if you consider nothing but the bottom line, the nature of the legal issues surrounding the drug allowed another company to drastically undercut his prices, which in turn caused the stock to tank. Also, he caused further federal attention to be paid to the matter of drug pricing, which nobody in the industry wanted. He's all sizzle and no steak, and if the current allegations are correct, he's actually a lousy investor and a clumsy criminal.

Didn't the attorney he had on retainer immediately jack his price up?

Good. He has a very punchable face, and people with very punchable faces tend to be assholes. He's certainly getting what he deserves, even if it isn't for the hiked drug prices.

That kind of a CEO IS less than a human being. Must be living under an expensive rock.

Well, there goes the chance of pharmaceutical reform.

As long as this smug prick was out there doing dick moves, the media would keep reporting on it and something would happen in Congress. Now it will be swept underneath the rug.

That's not admirable self confidence, that's a terminally large asshole.

Not everyone needs to be concerned with others to be a good person.

Also he is thinking about the investors in his company, we are like family to him so of course we take precedent over others.

On the one hand, he made rich people richer. On the other hand, he's draining money from poor sick people. Fulfilling obligations to your bosses isn't the same thing as being a good person.

In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. This is -ery much so a big change, but it should be a -ery positi-e one. -olodymyr -elensky and A-o- continue to fight for Ukraine while the Russians are still trying to e-entually make their way to Kharki-, -apori-h-hia, and Kry-yi Rih, but that will take time as they are concentrated in areas like Bakhmut, -uledar, and other areas in Donetsk. We will see Shakhtar play in the Europa League but Dynamo Kyi- already got eliminated. Shakhtar managed to play well against Florentino Pere-'s Real Madrid who feature superstars like -inicius, Ben-ema, Car-ajal, and -al-erde. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Yeah, saw this earlier, but it doesn't appear it has much to do with the price of the drugs.

As of yet, anyway. Given this guy's history of fraud, I wouldn't be surprised if the Daraprim increase was a way to cover his losses elsewhere.
