I'd bet somebody in the pharma industry is behind the charges. His antics were drawing attention to what is a common practice that has, generally, gone unnoticed in the US.

Now all the hubbub about drug prices will die down since there's no figurehead to hate on.

What I would find more hilarious and awesome is if someone arranged to have Shkreli nailed and put away on fraud charges for the purpose of liberating the Wu Tang album.

Apparently, Wu Tang and Bill Murray are legally able to attempt "a heist or caper" to get the album back.

He isn't just not caring what other people think, he doesn't care about what happens to other people.

That's not admirable self confidence, that's a terminally large asshole.

Not everyone needs to be concerned with others to be a good person.

Also he is thinking about the investors in his company, we are like family to him so of course we take precedent over others.

And if the healthcare sector wasn't a giant drain on taxpayer wealth, that might've mattered. But if your industry is dependent on my tax dollars, I expect your industry to give a shit about me, because if said industry doesn't, let's not forget that America is a democracy, eh? Taxes can always be cut.
