Left Wing Nationalists exist. And most Leftism is Modernist.

I would be hesitent in calling Modernism itself leftist, as that obviously isn't always the case. But I think the Young Turks would count.

I'd really say calling The Young Turks 'Left wing Nationalists' is really pushing the term to its limits. They were western trained (not in the west but the military style) and wanted to emulate the western powers, Germany in particular iirc.
