Your situation regarding French is the same as mine! Sadly, I was forced out of it, because I had to move to Germany. I never really got over that, since French is one of my favorite languages.
People tell me that learning languages online is easy, but honestly, I simply couldn't ever take it up.

Learning languages online is not easy at all. It takes commitment and having people who are willing to talk with you in French and are native speakers.

The thing is that, here, we cannot encounter native speakers in any of these languages. That's why most people in the classes I've been in were barely able to form a simple sentence in English although they had been learning the language since third grade or earlier. I was lucky to be able to actually live in English and German-speaking countries, but most are not. And, in the end, these imposed classes are a waste of time: most people forget the very small amount they've learned in a few years, like I did with French.
