What exactly is his plans anyway? Haven't payed much attention to his vitriol.

I doubt he has any actual plans. Trump is nothing but an entertainer. He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Nevertheless, his stupidity is dangerous to the country.

A huge database for Muslims and spying on mosques 24/7, forcing Mexico to build a giant wall, root out and deport all illegals.

And much more, but that's what immediately comes to mind.

I suppose, as per the letter of the law, the free practice of religion in the bill of rights does not necessarily safeguard against what trump is trying to do. It certainly goes against the spirit of the thing though.

They had better, or else the US will be getting Hilary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. The corporate class isn't going to be too happy with Sanders and Clinton will continue almost all of Obama's policies.

Let's just call Trump a traitor and throw him out. After all, he seems less American than Vladimir Putin.

Why wouldn't they be happy? They've been profiting massively under Obama. If anything, they should be more scared of Trump. Having a man who clearly doesn't understand anything about foreign or domestic policy in charge would definitely hurt business.

I highly doubt Sanders is anywhere close to as corrupt as your average politician.

The Republican establishment is terrified of Trump. He's disrupting their political process, bringing up bipartisan subjects, and forcing them into corners where they have to justify their position to their base while avoiding being too ridiculous for the rest of society.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, listen to yourself! You trust a politician at all? I mean this is the same guy who basically stated only black lives matter. He's obviously out there just to grab up votes, not for our nation. He's taking a heterogeneous population and he wants to treat it like it's homogeneous. Unfortunately, the U.S. is not united. If it was, though, I'd be happy to let him in office. He seems like he could do a lot of good, but his policies seem like they belong in a future (better) version of America. One he probably won't live to see occur. :(

What I'm afraid of is the stupidity of the voting public. The scary thought that a man as deplorable and unstable as him is a serious contender with lots of support.

So according to the White House, Trump's recent statement about banning all Muslims from entering the country disqualifies him from running for the presidency, citing it as violating the oath every president must make. However, the White House hasn't officially banned him from running, as his campaign still seems to be in full speed. But say he were to get enough votes and won, then what? I'm not exactly sure, but the White House's statement seems like it'd be a pretty heavy blow to Trump support. What do you think, NSG? Is this the end to Trump's run?

I don't think the White House can prohibit someone from running for president, and the White House statement will only further embolden the right. As they will think that the White House, read Obama, is trying to control all of America.
