White House: Trump's Statement "Disqualifies" Him

I wasn't sure if this belonged in the Republican Primaries Megathread or if someone's already posted about it, but this seems to be an interesting development.

So according to the White House, Trump's recent statement about banning all Muslims from entering the country disqualifies him from running for the presidency, citing it as violating the oath every president must make. However, the White House hasn't officially banned him from running, as his campaign still seems to be in full speed. But say he were to get enough votes and won, then what? I'm not exactly sure, but the White House's statement seems like it'd be a pretty heavy blow to Trump support. What do you think, NSG? Is this the end to Trump's run?

This is a political opinion that he's not worthy of being president, not a statement that there's a serious barrier preventing him from assuming the office.

This White House guy is a hypocrite. Obama has violated the constitution hundreds of times (NSA warrantless wiretapping, NDAA, Unauthroized editing of obamacare, arguably Obamacare itself)
Obama should be disqualified.
And what about Clinton? She is arguably a felon, she should have jail time

Well, that'd be limiting political freedoms, so I doubt it.

It's the job of the Supreme Court, not Obama or his cronies, to decide who can and can't run.

Though the SC is sort of filled with the aforementioned cronies anyway, but I'd hope that they'd be less biased.

It (and just about everything he says) disqualifies him from being a good leader.

Unfortunately, that's not the same as being disqualified from running for President.
