Although I rarely (never) saw eye to eye with him, I wish his family well. May the Gods take good care of him in the afterlife.

I just did a couple searches. I searched for posts by me that had the word 'tacos' in it(bear in mind that this number includes people who say 'tacos' and I quote them. 'Tacos' appears in 702 entries(703 counting this one).
Then I searched Dyakovo's posts for 'argument'. 1795 entries.

He liked arguments 2 1/2 times as much as I like tacos.

Although I didn't really talk with him on the forums I do wish his family condolences. I'm wondering, how did you find out?

Dya might have butted heads with moderation many a time, with the warning record to prove it, but there's no denying he was a character, and pretty much a fixture of NSG; one whose absence will be felt. My condolences and best wishes for his friends and family in this trying time. :(

What a shame. I never knew him very well, but when we did talk, he was always funny and could cheer me up. He made me laugh, even if I didn't want to. I can't say anything here that hasn't already been said, but he was really a good guy. From now on, my screen will glow a little bit dimmer whenever I'm on Nationstates.

Taken to soon from this world.

You will be missed, even though we never where close or talked much on here, I always found you a positive light on NationStates in general. Reading what you post always appealed for its straight-shooter-no-nonsense mentality; and, your well rounded sense of humor even if it raised hairs on some folk's heads.

Despite all of this I cannot help but shed tears at the loss your loved ones, your friends and colleagues, and this community must bear. May you rest forever in peace, and may you be remembered by all those you hold dear. From now, until the end of our time on Earth.

RIP,

Not the sort of tidings which should be laid at his family's doorstep at any time, but especially this one. I wish them...well.

As for the man himself, I interacted with him mainly in TET, and so it is I remember him.

Damn. Dyakovo was one of the good'uns. Everyone's gotta go sometime, but that doesn't make it any easier.

He will be missed. My condolences to his family, for whatever that is worth.

There's no good way to put this, but Dyakovo was involved in an accident some time ago and has passed away last week. I know many people here liked Dyakovo. He was straight to the point and frank. He didn't waste everyone's time with honeyed words and his jokes were brilliant. Sometimes they were a bit too much for the more sensitive folks here, and some made you feel like a horrible human being for laughing.

You might not have agreed with him all the time and maybe you didn't quite get along with him. I know I didn't always see eye-to-eye, but fuck it I had nothing but respect for him.

This thread serves as a tribute to Dyakovo, use it to share your thoughts and words.

I like to think I knew him well. Not as much as his wife or IRL friends and family, but more than just two random people talking on the internet. I'm pretty saddened by this. I think what I'll miss the most is his snark. And especially the way he combined it with his arguments. He sometimes expressed regret to me that he couldn't get my pronouns straight, but I didn't (and still don't) hold it against him. That's the kind of guy he was. He was an ass (and proud of it) when he had to be, but genuinely cared about his friends.

Reciting a bible verse for an avowed atheist. Irony.

P.S. Don't flip out on me. I just think that he would've appreciated the observation, is all.
